I am a native Nebraskan, raised in the outdoors hunting and fishing, I learned to appreciate a good knife at a very early age. I can remember when I saved every penny I had to buy my first Buck knife. It was in the late 1980's that I began grinding on files and saw blades desiring to make my own knife.
I have been making knives for 5 years on a custom basis. By this I mean I work with each customer to create that special knife unique to them. This is what I truely love doing. I have only a few personal models that I make regularly. If you're not sure what you want I will be glad to draw up a few designs and help you get that knife you have always wanted.
I am a Chemist by education and have worked in several fields including metalurgy. One of my key drives in knifemaking is exploring new steels to push performance to the limit. I enjoy researching each steel before I ever put it to the grinder.
