What keeps me going??
Back in 1981 as a teenager I realized that I was on a path that was going to take me places I did not want to go. I was a regular partier and sought to fulfill my wants and desires however I could.

It was at this point that I was introduced to a man who seemed to have all the answers. Those who claimed to have a relationship with him had different goals and desires than I did. This interested me and I began to study this fellow and his followers.

This fellow who made such a difference in these other peoples lives was Jesus Christ. In June of 1981 I prayed and accepted Jesus as my personal savior and asked him to forgive me of my sin and come into my life so I could have the happiness and fulfillment I saw promised in his word.

I can do my own thing and please God, can't I?
Well, no you can't.

Ephesians 2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

You see if we could earn salvation we would have no need of God or his presence in our lifes. But it is that very presence and power that brings true peace and joy to the heart of man.

You see there are some things in life that are constant and do not change. Take gravity for example, step off a bridge and you fall, every time. In a similar way God must deal with sin the same every time.

Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Very simply put the price of sin, death, must be paid. Now this death is a spiritual death or eternal separation from God in hell. Someone must pay the price.

Now the choice is yours, you can pay the price for your sin and be separated from God forever, or you can accept the payment Jesus made on the cross for your sin.

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Can it be that simple??
It has to be!! God desires all man to willingly seek him and follow him. We need simple instructions!

All you have to do is to call out to Jesus, ask his forgiveness for your sin and ask him to come into your heart and make you a new creature and take you to heaven to live with him eternally. I did this very same thing 20 years ago and it has made the difference in my life.

The peace and joy the Lord gives are unsurpassed by anything the world has to offer.

I'm not trying to jam "religion" down anyones throat. But, when I see something that works, and will change your life I think it is worth while to consider it. Don't you?
