What I can do for you.
I have been designing and creating custom knives since 1997. My knives are made by the stock removal method and are flat ground. I specify custom because many of my knives are commissioned especially for a customer and all of my knives are handmade. I use no jigs or tooling to orient the steel, just my hands. |
My Materials
I have converted to using almost exclusively Crucible steels in my knife making. I work with several of the Crucible alloys including: CPM3V, CPM10V, S60V, and S90V. I am planning on moving all of my production to S30V and 154CM. Of course a bit of damascus will appear from time to time as well. I use a lot of domestic antler on my handles as well as exotic hardwoods, mammoth ivory, a little micarta, and G10 as well. |
Styles
I am primarily a fixed blade maker. I love the classic "Loveless" designs and you will see this influence in my knives. My favorite knives to make are big Bowies! I make full tang and hidden tang style blades. I have began to produce Linerlock folders In the last year or so. I use only drilled and tapped 0-80 or 1-72 machine screws in assembling my folders. Every knife I make is made with one thought in mind, "Make the owner proud to show it, and proud to use it".
